*Head gasket replacements will be completed the same day as we carry a spare cylinder head with us which we exchange with your cylinder head if it requires skimming. If your cylinder head cannot be skimmed/re-fitted there is a £150 extra charge for a non VVC replacement cylinder head, and a £250 extra charge for a replacement VVC cylinder head. VVC head skimming with valve removal is £75, non-VVC head skimming is £35 if required.

 

However, you will be consulted before work continues if this is the case. We will also advise if other parts need changing eg: Alternator belt, Power Steering Belt, Cam Cover Gasket etc, we do keep these on board with us and supply them at cost during a head gasket replacement (no extra fitting fees) if you agree to have them replaced at the same time, if you do not, then an advisory will be listed on your invoice. (Invoices are usually sent within 7 days of the work being completed, if you do not receive your invoice within 7 days, please email us your booking details to chase this up, as sometimes we do get a little busier than normal and invoice time scales can vary when this happens.)

 

Please be aware, that if once the cylinder head has been removed, there are any signs of engine damage that would result in the head gasket repair being unsuccessful (due to engine block face pitting / damaged pistons / low liner heights), then the vehicle will be left as it is (with the cylinder head removed) and a £110 strip down labour and diagnostics fee will be charged plus travel costs, as it is against company policy to put a vehicle back together that would result in an unsuccessful repair. Further work can be re-arranged for a later date if you wished for the repairs to be completed with the extra parts required (replacement engine block / pistons, liner shims etc).

Booking is available Monday to Friday upon a first come first serve basis. We also offer a cancellation list for urgent job requests where if a job is cancelled we will refer to the list for anyone who wants work carried out sooner than later.

Warranty is transferable to one new keeper post repair in the event of sale, though we must be informed of this change of keeper & supplied with the new keepers full name, within 28 days to update our records and enable us to honour such.

Our Cancellation Policy

Please be advised that cancellations made up to 72 hours before a scheduled appointment via email, text or phone call will be processed without charge. Cancellations made 72 hours or less before an appointment will be subject to a fixed charge of £110. This includes appointments where we are unable to access the vehicle, no persons are available to give access to the vehicle and / or make payment on completion, or when the vehicle is parked in or on unsafe premises / ground. By making an appointment with us, you accept these conditions & agree to pay the fee as laid out above, in the event of a late cancellation. We appreciate your understanding & acceptance of these terms.
